Indeed, Friday is their BreakSLOW. It was a nice relaxing afternoon. I think it was closer to 3 hours. So many dishes to choose from.
You make a good point about the beach. The Fairmont Beach is artificial. The sand is a little hard packed and doesn't have a natural sand feel. The water is more like a lagoon than the ocean. There were jelly fish warnings up so no one was in the water while we were there. That said, I still prefer the private feel of the Fairmont than the Hilton. The beach around the Hilton will be crowded although in July it will be blazes hot so that will cut down on some of the crowds. You would probably prefer the shade around the Fairmont pools over a beach in that heat.
