I will fly as a german citizen from FRA to JED on Lufthansa Airlines and will connect 5 hours later with Saudi Airlines from JED to KUL (with a seperate ticket).

My question is: Do I need a transit visa?

I have to make a new check inn at JED that is why I am asking.

Do I need to leave the transit area for the check inn?

Another question is:

Do I need to drop off the luggage for a second time or is it possible to check inn the luggage from FRA through to KUL?
