I agree that it can be helpful, especially for inexperienced visitors. I would just like to be able to override it at times, such as now. Due to the plethora of JFK options, I don't think I'm seeing all the EWR options - at least not all the seemingly straightforward ones that ITA Matrix throws out (it's a connection through LHR, rather than originating there).

But I know that's hardly top of the list of priorities for enhancements.
