Last week original route LAS-SFO-LHR. Flight LAS-SFO : crew could not shut door L1 (broken plastic seal) over 2 hours MX delay, would have missed connection in SFO. I was offered reroute SFO-EWR-LHR arriving in London late night after public transport to home had ceased. Declined. Very helpful agent in United club rerouted LAS-LAX-LHR on next day. Not offered hotel or meal vouchers because I originated in LAS. LAS-LAX (UX) delayed by ATC because previous UX flight to LAX had MX delay and took our departure slot. Flight LAX-LHR delayed 3 hours MX (replacement of fuel pump). No meal voucher offered. Eventually reached LHR exactly 24 hours late. Compensation $250 travel voucher. I used voucher against new itinerary priced in GB Pounds: booking agent could not convert value, she had to consult supervisor. Not ticketed for another 24 hours.
