Firstly, my sincere apologies if this topic exists elsewhere. I spent a good couple of hours doing Google searches and sifting through threads on FT before coming to the decision to start a new thread.

I recently booked some flights for my parents LHR>FCO in CE using Avios from my account. They're not in my household account (and I'm not in their's either) but they are down on my 'Friends & Family' list. I booked them for them because they didn't have enough Avios at the time to book the flights they wanted and we didn't want the availability to dry up waiting for their Avios to be swept across from AMEX. We agreed that if I needed something in the future they could book it for me with their Avios.

My question therefore is, can my parents book a hotel room for me with Avios or is it flights only that the 'Friends & Family' lists can be used for?
