AS awarded us $200 and $150 discount vouchers because of significant changes to our HI flight schedules last Xmas. The terms allow purchase of one way fares.

We am planning to use the discount vouchers to purchase tickets to Cabo MX in mid-Jan 2015 thru the end of Feb. Our strategy is to purchase one way tickets to maximize use of discounts since AS one way fares do not appear to be any more expensive than prices offered on its RT fares.

This is our first Cabo trip - so we are not familiar with airfare prices. Right now, the RT fare from Washington Reagan (via LAX) for a sample itinerary for Jan 11 to Feb 1 is $680. Is this a good fare?

Will AS run sales on these winter fares - if so, when will they run the sale? My $200 disc voucher expires in mid-June - so may not be able to wait.

Any help would be appreciated.
