I report this for what it's worth---at least I have revealed my source. I previously posted here saying that in my Dec/Jan trip I did have success in one of the flights in getting them to hold my meal, but not in the other. I think maybe I didn't ask clearly enough.

In other words, in J they are not going to say "Do you want to eat now or later?" but if you have an upcoming flight, please try saying explicitly and early "I do not want my second meal mid-flight, could you hold it until I am ready?" Please report here on what happens.
