Indeed yes, you can go to hardware store and cut a pipe and it will be cheaper.

I am planning to add covers from both sides, have fabric material inside and outside and finally have a bag which will cover it all around. Yes, you can also DYI and it will be cheaper, but not everyone is willing to do it and sometimes people just want to buy finished product. In fact, this is how I started, I saw Skyroll and thought "hmmm great idea, but it is too expensive and it is a new bag, not something I can use with my existing suitcase".

But besides the fact which it can be done for much cheaper than 20$ if you DYI (which is valid point), do you think it will spark some interest? Should I invest time and money in Kickstarter project maybe?

Also, if you have any other problems you do not have solutions for, please let me know. It could be anything, does not have to be travel related.
