Looks like HNL has beefed up its fuel loading capacity. Same thing happend to me on QF94 a few years ago. But at that time an A380 had never landed in HNL and the airport did not have large enough fuel hoses to efficiently refuel.

In our case we were on the ground for around 3 hours - it took over 1.5 hours to just refuel. Filling swimming pool with garden hose issue.
