If you ever thought BA call centres poor
Then try calling LAN. I found a fare via ITA matrix which wouldn't price on the woefully inadequate LAN website. Seemed a sensible idea at the time to call LAN, without realising that I would be patched through to the most clueless agent ever. Politely ended the call ( after 35 minutes of being passed back and forth), rang back half an hour later and spoke to another agent. If it were possible, he knew even less about the flights that his company operated.....
Checked up on FT, and learnt (doh!) that BA could book. Rang them up, spoke to a delightfully cheerful Geordie girl who booked as per ITA for the same price all within the space of 15 minutes.
