In any event, much of the Y market would prefer an overnight flight anyway. It avoids having to take another day off work. The proportion of Y passengers who would willingly prefer to spend a day of their precious holiday allowance sitting in a cramped seat in the back of the aircraft as opposed to spending that day on the beach etc is limited.
