SFO in October could be a little damp. I see similar fares (£330 with BA, £305 *A) in September, so this could be an unplanned birthday treat.
FLL (Fort Lauderdale) is another Norwegian destination attracting dumping, ahem, competitive fares from *A and BA. FL weather is likely to be warmer in the autumn than Northern California, just a little suspicious of FL hurricanes at that time though hopefully they'd be out of the way by then.
Some routes are via HEL with l/h in AY. I've never flown l/h Y in AY, but I'm assuming seat dimensions are similar to BA? Connecting domestic flights with AA.
Yes its all year round except July and August as far as I can see, although you can leave Aug 17 and return Sep 1 and it works fine, the fare rules must be around somewhere I guess. We are going to Florida in two weeks time, so just fancied the west coast for our 3rd holiday this year, take in Vegas, San Diego and Disney annaheim / LA while in that area, look forward to it, and when I saw these prices I grabbed them. The equivalent price from ABZ is GBP 2021 compared to GBP 328 or something ^
