This does bring up an interesting topic though, I've never thought of this situation before. Please report back with how it is handled. In my opinion, AA is absolutely liable for not having enough fuel to accommodate, but who knows how much notice they had (if any) about this.
Most likely they had notice that it would happen sometime, but not exact times and if AF1 arrived early....
