It makes no sense to discuss these things if one mixes everything. Yes, the ruling Elite before Peron came to Power had a lot of negatives, however, the Nation that Peron received when he took office and what he left behind, and what the Party he created has done with this Nation is here now for all to see.... the very few positive things that Peronism did for Argentina are outweighed 800 Gazillion times with the negatives. This entire way of thinking only about entitlements and never about obligations was created by Peronism. Anybody that ignores that and tries to justify Peron and Peronism because of the faults of others is blatantly ignoring the facts.
Peron destroyed the nation,that is for sure,but that doesnt mean that the nation that was before.was a good one,a rich country with a poor people and a small elite of pseudo noblemen ruling it with total disregard for everyone is not a good nation.
Sorry,but the last part of your post smells of american republican ideology,I dont agree with that,I preffer european style social democratic organizations,the country I want argentina to look for is sweden or denmark,not the usa.
I would have preffered of course,the UCR and not Peron to rule.
