Barclays has publicly stated that all existing accounts will be converted to an AA branded card. You won't actually be able to apply for the AA branded card, so you need to get the US branded one before the changeover.
Correct. It has to do with how AA structured their bankruptcy. Citi is the primary for all things AA going forward.
