BOS-IAD cleared right away but the 8 F seats that were un-booked at the time of ticketing are now showing F1. I'm riding on a Q fare but I don't believe that I'll clear the RPU for IAD-DEN. Will this eat my RPU or will I get it back? If its burned, I'm going to be really disappointed because I'm batting less than 30% on CPUs and now RPUs aren't clearing with more than 50% of the F cabin available weeks ahead of time.
Knowing that R space often opens up around T-24 I sometime checkin and see where I am on the upgrade list before calling in to apply the RPU. I've done that a couple of times LGA-DEN on a Friday night for a weekend's skiing.
