Why is that?

For some Android phones, it really is as easy as downloading an app and pressing the "Root" button.
For other Android phones, it can be a very complicated task. For some odd reason, it appears that popular, less expensive phones (like the Moto G) are more difficult to root. Miss Swede now owns an LG Optimus L9 (a popular, inexpensive phone), and the rooting process is quite complicated--involving a Chinese app and hoping you pressed the right buttons.
