I totally agree - but - but -- You are making the mistake of thinking people are rational - they are not. My wife is the worst culprit. If I give her the choice of aircarft or car - she goes for car as she feels "safer". Even when we were living in North Georgia - she preferred hugh traffic on I-75 to flying out of CHA
