BTW my wife is also hesitant to call, but often she authorizes the agent to listen to me and then I do the talking. We have never tried this on recons - is it possible?
I don't think it would work on recon.
Update: Wife actually called recon from work today! Still declined. They said it's due to 1) number of inquiries over the past 24 months, plus they want to see her spending money on her 2 existing US Air cards.
Both cards are up for anniversary bonus in August. Should I wait the 5 months and then close both cards after the anniversary bonus posts, or should I close at least 1 of them now?
