Flying next Tuesday, 3/25, EWR TPA.

Just received an email to upgrade my flight for 20,000. What an insult to any elite member, where a CPU is supposed to be a perk.

There are 17 seats open in F 8 days out, so I'm sure they're assuming it's never going to fill with high fares at this point, so instead of giving out so many free upgrades, at least try to get people to burn miles.

I just think it's poor taste to their good customers.

UA has paired up with Marriott - a first class operation. I can't imagine a company like Marriott doing this so of nonsense.
