4. Name the only airline to operate the Caravelle into Miami in the spring of 1966. A tip of the hat to you if you can name what city it flew in from.
5. Five airlines offered direct flights from Buenos Aires to Miami. Each airline used a different 4 engine jet unique to that airline. So – five airlines, five jets. Can you match the airline to the jet operated on this route?
4. Hmmmmm....I believe our good friend
miniliq may have nailed this one in post #4485. What say you,
Seat 2A?
5. I'll try my hand at this one.....
* Aerolineas Argentinas with a Comet IV
* Aerolineas Peruanas (APSA) with a Convair 990A
* Braniff International with a Boeing 707
* LAN Chile with a Caravelle (
Whoops! This is a twin jet! Well, too late now.....)
* Pan American-Grace Airways a.k.a. Panagra with a DC-8 ("El Inter Americano" service!)
All of these flights made en route stops between Buenos Aires and Miami, and some made a number of stops....
P.S. - And I'll substitute Avianca for LAN Chile with Avianca operating a Boeing 720B......
