If you read the AP thread, you'd know that no one has really determined what causes a shutdown. Two people can literally have the same set up and process, and one gets shut down and the other doesn't.
And, certainly, I doubt that running cards through your AP account, by itself, is a problem. Particularly since I've been doing it since the beginning.
