It was certainly rare to experience 'bad service' - in fact the FA's in general had been great. (It's been nearly a year since I have flown NZ, although I am looking to book soon to use up my last two *E RU's.)

I guess the plastic cup of wine indicates that no matter how great the FA's are, the product has declined significantly.

To paraphrase: "You can put lipstick on a pig, but in the end it's still a pig!".
