Something is awry. Very frustrating, especially as they seem to be giving Precheck access out like candy to people who don't even know what it is.
TSA will tell you to contact the airline. I doubt you could speak to the person who you'd actually need to talk to - but maybe it's worth a shot to report the issue. The airline has a big hand in the equation of when/where pre-check is granted.
