United.com - comparing arrival of the aircraft to the departure of its next segment?
Flying on 592 tonight (JFK-LAX). Shows on time - 8:25 PM

Inbound Flight 760 (SFO-JFK) has not taken off yet, and is delayed, due to late aircraft arrival - scheduled to land at 8:16 PM, which would make it quite difficult to get 592 out on time.

Go back one more, and you'll that the inbound flight 397 (JFK-SFO) this morning, landed at 11:29 AM, 7 minutes ahead of schedule.



Why not delay 592 as it's clearly not going out at 8:25 PM?

Are delays entered manually or does the UA system make a calculation based on incoming flight status?
