A cab will cost you about US$20, which is excellent value imo and by far the best way to get to your hotel -- will take half or less than the time of public transport. For public transport options -- try google maps. It is pretty good for Beijing.

"Best" depends on how you define it. For me it is a taxi which will cost about 100RMB ($16). You can take the Airport train plus subway. That will cost 27RMB per person. If there are 2 of you, the taxi will cost about $7. Easy decision for me.
