Ideally, I would prefer a 63A/B or 63J/K seat combo so that my wife and I were in the same seat pair.

So a couple of questions:
1. Would BA preemptively seat us together, moving another paying customer to an equivalent upper deck seat?
2. If not, how would you experienced FTers feel if, as you were boarding the upper deck, someone asked you to switch from 63A to 63 K or 63J to 63B so that his wife and he could sit together? According to SeatGuru, the seat swaps would be equivalent.

I appreciate your advice and expertise in advance.
I have had the exact problem in the past. I asked politely and the aisle seat swap was done. The window seat swap though thought to be equivalent may not be equivalent depending on the direction of flight. I do not foresee any major problems but it is still dependent on the other passenger agreeing. Human nature predominantly good is not guaranteed.
