Anyone else noticed that champagne has been eliminated completely as a predeparture drink? I noticed this last year, but thought it was a one-off for a few weeks. But, in the past several months, I have never received champagne before takeoff...only juices on medium and long-haul flights. Really a poor showing for what could be a great product if the government's social policies would stay out of it (which is what many say is the reason behind the elimination of it).
