Yeah it sounds to me like you missed the flight because ORY has the same terrible design as CDG where you can't go through security and wait comfortably by the gate safe in the knowledge that you've passed security and can reliably reach the lounge quickly. The same thing would have happened if you had any other problem that required access to an airline agent.
Having passed through CDG this morning I can assure you that the very good AA and CX lounges are after security and in the same area as the BA gates (no security / BP check until regular gate one)
