This is a clever question Seat 2A -- I lived in Alberta at the time, and so I kept searching schedules for flights to GTF, MSP, BIL, GEG, all places I have flown from YEG or YYC -- but none flown by a Canadian carrier. Finally I realized I should be looking north -- and yes, in 1957 at least, CPAir had a DC-3 flight from Whitehorse (YXY) to Mayo (YMA) to Dawson City (YDA) to FAIRBANKS (FBK). I'm not sure what international non-agreement led to it being dropped, but later I flew on PWA to Aklavik and Whitehorse, and I don't remember any possibility of going on to Alaska. My 1960 OAG says the CP service to Fairbanks has been "temporarily suspended."

And now. although I'm having fun, I'll step aside for some other folks to chip in.
