OP: Your amount most likely is over Small Claims Court's limit. Do check your state's regulation to see what avenues you can pursuit.

Though it is not surprising to any that you are pushing the envelop too far in only your second month... when the payments kept being returned, you should have taken notice and start ridding out what you have earned, and stop your aggressive pattern...
