So I'm wondering what it's like for you GE's? Would you fly as much Business class as you needed until you reached G/GE, to get lounge access, before coming down to economy, and then just using the lounge privileges?

But then, if you started going on economy, would that mean that you wouldn't have enough points to re-qualify?

Or are other benefits (RUs, OneUps) more important for you?

Really curious here as to what goes through you frequent fliers' minds - mind to share?
Lounges are very important to me to make a long flight(s) easier. I am flying on a non *A carrier in June and already twitchy about a 4 hour stopover in LAX (what could possibly go wrong?). Always fly J on long haul, would never fly in economy irrespective of APD or SCs...it truly scares me.

Using RUs, standby upgrades and in some cases flattery, usually gets me into the front of the plane. Along with some help from friends in NZ.

The other benefits certainly make life easier as I generally like to be first in a queue and first out...I hate waiting. Unlike a thread here, I generally always receive excellent service, I know most staff by now so that helps
