I am delighted to hear a 4 star establishment in a major destination being praised on this forum with proper justification.
I tend to like hotels which are large enough to offer a good gym and a spa but, having visited the Pavilion de la Reine, I would prefer it to the Shangri-La because of the Pavilion's location and Parisian charm. Somehow, I just don't think that the price/value location would add up for me at the Shangri-La. On the other hand, for my price/value comparison I would always choose the Four Seasons George V over any other property in Paris.
