When booking flights found through Kayak, the actual booking is done at a website to which Kayak refers you. It appears that Kayak gets some money from the booking.

ITA is purely a flight search website. But it is used by Orbitz in the background to book flights. So, if you find availabilty on ITA, it will almost always be available via Orbitz.
