Just found something new today, and I think it hasn't been reported yet?

First, after booking straight with YVRCX I got a 6-letter all alphabetic Amadeus record locator for the first time (used to be alphanumeric), and AA.com seems to recognise that (not the previous alphanumeric ones). Previous bookings with alphanumeric Amadeus record locators are still not supported, but after entering this all alphabetic Amadeus record locator AA.com displays the reservation with Sabre record locator. Those of you AA folks who make bookings with BA, QF, etc. might start to see this, too.

Second, apparently AA.com for now does not allow OW SPH to select MCE seats. I first called web services and the agent said they now require ticket number to be in before OW élites can select MCE seats (my CX booking is still on hold). I then called reservation and asked whether, by removing AA Golds and OW RBYs ability to select MCE seats, they also mistakenly remove that ability to SPHs. The reservation agent quickly recognised that there is indeed a system glitch. Got a supervisor to select the MCE seats for me, and agent promised to reply this glitch to someone to fix.
