I got a really nice suite on the 9th floor so didn't get to see the new Exec rooms.
Its such a pity as this is a really charismatic building.
It does have a lot of charm to it and I like that out of all the times I have stayed there, no two rooms have been the same. Real uniquiness to it due to it's age.
I thought it was only the lounge they renovated and not the rooms. I stayed on 23 last year and the room was recently redone. Not sure why they had to remodel the lounge, it was closed for renovations just within the past decade (I remember last time they had a temp. lounge set up downstairs where an old coffee sho use to be).
Now that it has reopened is it still crazy at breakfast time or can you actually find a place to sit now? Like the poster above stated, I was also told that what the lounge reopened they were going to address the issue of overcrowding and either limit access to diamonds and those on the 22nd and 23rd floor or give diamonds another breakfast alternative.
