OP: Do you have any status with MH or OW? What route are you flying? I always choose MH over Air Asia because I have status with American Airlines, like transferring in KL, and generally enjoy MH service and prices. However, I've had very good flights with Air Asia as well and wouldn't hesitate to book them when MH just didn't work out.

I also, like other posters, would not let MH 370 sway me from booking a MH 777 flight.
