ok guys here is whats going on. I am flying from from yyz-sfo-hnl on miles. I wanted to layover in sfo for more than 4 hours and less than 24 hours. but it is pricing out at 35k instead of 22.5k. if i book flights that layover less than 4 hours i get the 22.5k pricing.

so i just wanted to know am is something messing up or is the layover rule by region or is it actually by country?
