I recently booked flights in BRitish Airways' Club World , for my wife, two children and myself. I used AAdvantage mile and Avios Points for the booking, but paid a significant amount of taxes. I tried to assign seats for our trip and it costs 90 US$ per booking to reserve seats.

Is this the norm in Business Class or is this British Airways just trying to make extra money?
