Found the same next week with EDI-BRU, where I would usually just fly direct with Brussels Airlines. However, they came out £140 more expensive for the return than BA via LHR.
That's not an intra-Europe route though, it's a UK to Belgium route.
BA has plenty of deals on connections from the UK regions to London to elsewhere - just not between two foreign airports.
