The P-8A Poseidon will be deployed into the search and rescue area to augment the already deployed P-3C Orions.

I have to say, I like the last paragraph and how the US will be positioned relative to all of the international bodies helping in the effort:

The new P-8A is part of the Navy's commitment to the Pacific rebalance, bringing newer and more capable aircraft to 7th Fleet to ensure the Navy is best postured to honor its security commitments to the Indo-Asia-Pacific and contribute to regional security and stability.

Talk about flexing some muscles in the region.
