I should note I'm flying out of a small airport and have very limited options in terms of daily flights in order to get to my final destination same day.
I wouldn't worry about an IDB as a Platinum on a full Y fare. They aren't releasing upgrade inventory yet, but you'll be really close to the top of the list (only SWU/RU/GU and DM on full Y above you). Of course, if this PM and DM heavy route is LAX/SFO/SEA - JFK, then you are stuck in the back, even on a full Y.
