I love this hotel because of its location. It's sublime to walk out, across the street, into Place des Vosges. It is the oldest planned square in Paris, built in the early 1600s. I believe that all of the facades are original. It's a wonderful walking neighborhood. There are a number of interesting smaller museums within reach, as well as a wide range of restaurants and shops. The hotel is charming, certainly not five star, and yet I have chosen it for many stays because the entire experience is so satisfying.
