I tried loading a GC and linking a CC to my serve account back to back. The GC debit was pending and then I initiated a test transfer of $20 with my CC, submitted and then had an error message of, "Please call a representative, etc..." Called them to clarify the situation and they told me that they do "not accept" debit GC's. I'm thinking to myself, "I've loaded PP GC's online THROUGH Serve before (very annoying considering they're $1-200 amounts), canceled the expired GC and submitted another GC, which worked fine. Hopefully this is NOT the end of this gravy train. Here's the email from the Serve Team:
Hello xxxxxx,
During a recent review of your American Express ServeŽ Account we noticed you have linked a prepaid card that is not a permitted funding source. The acceptable card funding sources are a bank debit or credit card.
Please contact a Customer Care Professional immediately at 1-800-555-4318 so we can discuss further details on this matter.

Anything to worry about or just wait for the CC to process 3-4 days from now and then try another "debit" (Well, technically it is a bank debit card coming from Metabank which is registered with MY information on their website, which is ALSO annoying..

) card? Also, anybody have recent issues liquidating GC's at CVS? I guess it just varies from store to store...
