If you're planning to drive yourself you might have to be prepared for police bribes/corruption although I haven't seen as many stories about that lately as I used to. (i.e. police stopping you on trumped up charges and expecting a few hundred baht to let you continue your journey)

IIRC they drive on the right in Cambodia so you will need to adapt to that.
