Don't get me wrong, I realize that by a corruption miracle at Skytrax QR has been awarded a rating of 5 stars, but QR advertises it as if they were the only 5-star airline in the world when it my opinion, there are even 4-star airlines that easily defeat QR in every possible way, e.g., Oman Air.
I have flown more than 70 000 miles on QR this past three months and their product is so consistant it's almost scary. Their hard product is excellent and the soft product is way above average, definitely above SQ sorry to say, which is not as consistant, especially on the ground. There is an arrogance about SQ I actually resent.
Their hard product goes from excellent to barely average (Regional J-class for example, which you can get on 8 hours flights to Australia, not exactly regional to me).
I never never had a bad experience on QR, I cannot say as much on SQ, even in First
