Will be interesting to see if FF benefits are cut by the end of 2014. This would eliminate the US based partner loophole enabling passengers to continue earning based on mileage rather than revenue. It would also encourage DL loyalists to fly on DL metal while potentially alienating AS loyalists that would have used DL on occasion. May be short term pain vs. long term gain mentality. If DL is to become a serious player in SEA, AS is better off partnering with other airlines that would help them combat their new chief competitor.
