I'm not trying to offend or mock you by any means, but having in mind how much trouble people go through when claiming reimbursement for much more substantial damage, asking to be refunded for food would be ridiculous, not to mention futile. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, but I don't think the outcome is worth the effort.
