this is incorrect in any case. the miles you earn via the AA card are not elite-qualifying miles
edit: this would be for the 100K miles - the additional 10K eqm you can earn via $40K of spend could be different (that's a good question though as to whether it would fulfill the requirements of a PLT challenge)
