Sorry to hear about your mother. The most important thing, of course, is to make sure she's well looked after.

You don't say which cabin she's booked into.

If it was WT or WT+, then almost certainly the ticket can be changed for £100 plus fare difference - and a change can be to flight, date, route or cabin. About the only restrictions are that you will always have to pay at least the £100 change fee and you won't get any fare refund if you change to a cheaper ticket. Usually, you can make this change up to the departure time of the original outbound flight, but obviously I wouldn't advise leaving it that close.

If it was in CW, then you may have an I class "no changes no refunds" fare.

Can you give us any further information?
